- Communicates with PICs to gather required documents and information
- Reviews gathered information to ascertain proper recording
- Assist in completing the whole bookkeeping process by using excel or other accounting software nominated by the client such as QuickBooks and Xero. The bookkeeping process shall include journalizing, posting, summarizing, and reporting
- Complies with the requirements of the accounting standard nominated by the client such as PFRS, PFRS for SMES, GAAP for Micro-entities or Management Reporting framework
- Generates or prepares financial statements and other reports required by the client
- Make adjustments which include correction of erroneous data or reclassification of accounts as required by client
- Informs the PICs of any deviation from the accounting standards and its implication. The client has the ultimate decision on how the transactions will be accounted for in its books
- Properly files accounting documents and records of each client
- Assists in the preparation of the annual financial statements, if engaged by client
- Prepares documents or schedules to assist in the audit of the client financial statements by an independent auditor, if engaged by client
- Liaise with client, client's representative and/or government agencies in which the client has transactions, applications or concerns
- Assist in collecting and organizing financial data from clients, including income statements, balance sheets, expense reports, and other relevant documents
- Prepare tax returns for clients, which include accomplishing various tax forms and schedules and calculating tax liabilities
- Conducting research on tax regulations and laws in order to ensure clients' tax returns comply with the latest tax rules and regulations
- Assist in the review and quality control of completed tax returns, ensuring that they are error-free and compliant with tax laws
- Prepare necessary reports, including Quarterly and Annual Reports, Special Reports, and other documents as required by PEZA regulations
- Assist in maintaining organized records and documentation related to PEZA compliance
